GET STARTEDDeconstruction can mean a lot of things. People can deconstruct their political identity, their cultural identity, or even things like their musical or artistic identity. But for our purposes, deconstruction is about examining your inherited religious beliefs—along with the authority figures, built-in assumptions, and interpretive systems supporting them—rather than simply accepting them as given. It’s about deciding for yourself what parts of your religious framework you want to retain, to revise, or to outright reject.
You don’t have to abandon your faith to deconstruct (although sometimes that happens). There’s no set destination. But sometimes just asking questions can be scary and isolating. Our event is about bringing together a community of people in a safe, supportive environment where questions are welcome, and you decide the answers.
It’s your journey. You decide the path. We’re just here to support you along the way.
